Wreck
Sal, Seth, and I were involved in what could have been a very serious accident. It is only by the grace of God that we walked away unscathed. At about 11:15am we were stopped on a busy, two-lane thoroughfare in our township waiting to turn into the library following swim class. Out of nowhere we felt our car get hit and immediately smelled burning rubber. It turns out a Chevy Equinox, driven by an impaired driver, partially rear-ended/partially sideswiped our Mazda. There are 100 ways in which it could have been worse, but despite having to slide out underneath the side curtain airbag, and get Seth out from the driver's side, we are fine. Our rear passenger tire was blown out, but Sal was able to limp the car into the library driveway. She had semi-pushed us there anyway, and we are very fortunate oncoming traffic was able to stop.
