Here we are seven weeks into this quarantine, and I have found more positives than negatives overall. The kids have embraced e-learning. The girls are responsible for logging themselves in for attendance, keeping up with assignments, turning in work on time. Seth requires more assistance, but fortunately Sal has been able to take over home-schooling him. Sal teaches about an hour a day right now, and while his schedule varies day to day, it's the same week to week so that's helpful. I like working from home full-time. I like this slowed-down life. I like the money we're saving by having no where to go and not needing anything but essentials. As one would expect though, there are some downsides that are worth mentioning. Being "forced" to wear a mask, excuse me face covering, in public has gotten old. Really old. There's conflicting information as to whether or not they even help. I'm of the belief they don't make a significant difference. ...

Seth wanted some pictures of the construction going on in our neighborhood. He thought it was very cool to feel the water running through that hose, and I figured it was some kind of science or physics lesson. I have no idea what any of this construction is doing for us, but it certainly keeps this little boy entertained.
