Seven Years

Today is our seven year anniversary. We went out to dinner on Saturday, and I decided to reserve the one picture we took four our anniverary post (blogger isn't allowing me to post pictures so I'll have to edit later). Time is a funny thing - in some ways it seems like a year or so ago, in other ways it's been a blur. Seven years ago I would not have predicted that we'd be facing the health crisis that we are. While I knew Sal had kidney disease, we didn't expect them to fail already or as quickly. So, as I said, seven years ago, in sickness and in health. . . It's time to put those vows to the test.

Happy Thanksgiving

This was a year unlike any other, but we pulled together a very nice Thanksgiving celebration. Lots of good food, wine, and conversation. Sarah and Emmy are with their dad this year so we only had Seth so maybe it was a wee bit quieter, but still enjoyable.

Winter

First flurries of the year are flying. I'm already over it, and checking out weather.com for temps in Charleston. It's currently 55 degrees there. Time to move.

Basement Update

Seven years ago, we started this project with four cinder block walls and a concrete floor. Today, the couch was delivered leaving us at about 99% complete. A new desk is scheduled for delivery on December 4, and we have some wall art to hang. A chair that I chose a whim will be delivered in February. We love this space, and I'm sure it will turn up in many more photos to come.
