Sarah's always had a sensitive tummy, and sweets tend to bother her so much that she just plain avoids them. When we were talking about different treat options for her birthday snack at school, I suggested fruit salad, which both of the girls love. Sarah was enthusiastic about the idea so we went shopping. When we got home the girls helped assemble the fruit salad and then scooped out seventeen servings, with a couple extras for the teachers and principal.

It's official. My little house in Gibsonia is for sale. My agent is confident it will sell quickly. I certainly hope so. It looks good in the pictures. Here are the girls. We are definitely ready for our next adventure.

Sarah started mentioning getting her ears pierced about six months ago and I kept putting her off. Finally, I told her that I would take her for her birthday. It didn't occur to me to explain to her how they would actually pierce her ears, although I had told her it would hurt. She thought she'd be reclining in a dentist chair type thing, not sitting on a stool. She also expected a pinch. She made it through the first ear okay, but she screamed when the second one was done. However, she was all smiles shortly thereafter. I asked Emmy if she wanted hers done, and with no hesitation whatsoever, I got a resounding, "NO!" We'll see how that holds up because Emmy loves to accessorize.
